Little Ghouls Academy: A Tale to Remember

The Legend of Frostbite and the Shivering Peaks

Deep within the Whispering Woods, where the shadows stretch long and blue across the snow ❄️ , lives a creature as old as the winter wind. Some say his roar shakes the icicles off the ancient pine trees. Others whisper that his footsteps sound like thunder rolling through the valley.

But the students of Little Ghouls Academy know the truth. They know that the thunder is just Frostbite, the Yeti tripping over his own gigantic, furry feet.  🐾

Frostbite is not your average monster. While the specters in the library practice their moans and the vampires polish their fangs, Frostbite is busy perfecting the art of the snowball. He is a mountain of white fluff with eyes as bright as frozen blueberries and a heart warmer than a mug of cocoa.

One particularly chilly Tuesday, a thick, silver fog rolled down from the Shivering Peaks. It was the kind of fog that swallows sound and turns the world into a ghostly maze. A group of young ghouls had ventured out to collect crystal shards for potion class, but the weather had turned against them.

"I can’t see the path!" cried little Barnaby, clutching his woolen scarf tight. The snow was piling up fast, trapping their boots in deep, icy drifts. The wind whistled a lonely tune, and the trees creaked like skeleton fingers.

Suddenly, a massive shape loomed in the mist. It was tall. It was wide. It had two curved horns that scraped the low-hanging branches.

The children froze. Was it a snow beast? A winter wraith?

CRASH!

The giant figure slipped on a patch of ice and landed with a poof in a snowbank. A confused groan echoed through the clearing.

"Oof! My biscuit!" a deep, rumbly voice complained.

The fog swirled away, revealing Frostbite sitting in the snow, looking very embarrassed. He dusted the powder off his tummy and offered the children a shy, toothy grin.

"Hello, little shadows," Frostbite said, his voice sounding like crunching gravel. "Are you stuck? I am stuck, too. Gravity is very tricky today."

The fear vanished from the children’s eyes. Barnaby giggled. "We are stuck, Mr. Frostbite. The snow is too deep for our short legs."

"No problem at all," Frostbite announced. He stood up, shaking the snow from his fur like a giant dog. With hands the size of shovels, he didn't just dig them out—he scooped up the entire snowdrift they were stuck in!

He carefully set the children down on a clear patch of ice. But Frostbite wasn't done. He began to pack the loose snow together, his breath puffing like a steam engine in the cold air. Within moments, he had built a magnificent fort, complete with a tunnel to keep the wind away.

"Safe now," Frostbite beamed, wiggling his ears. "But... something is missing."

He reached into a hidden pocket in his fur and pulled out a handful of perfectly round snowballs.  ❄️☃️ He tossed one gently into the air and caught it on his nose.

"Snowball fight?" he asked hopefully.

The gloomy afternoon turned into a flurry of laughter. The children dodged and weaved, while Frostbite lumbered around, accidentally knocking over his own ice towers and laughing a deep, booming laugh that scared away the dark clouds.

When the twilight finally came, purple and mysterious, Frostbite walked them all the way back to the Academy gates. He waved a giant paw as they went inside, already dreaming of his next cup of hot cocoa.

So, if you are ever near the Shivering Peaks and hear a loud crash followed by a chuckle, do not fear. It is just Frostbite, the clumsiest, kindest guardian of the winter snow.  ✨

A friendly Yeti plays with the local children, high in the snow-covered mountains.
